The variety of colors is endless and colorful, but there is a certain internal relationship between various colors. Each color can be determined by 3 parameters, namely hue, lightness and saturation. Hue is a feature that distinguishes colors from each other. It depends on the chromatographic composition of the light source and the perception of each wavelength emitted by the surface of the object to the human eye. It can distinguish features such as red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Lightness, also known as brightness, is a characteristic value that represents the change of light and dark on the surface of a body; by comparing the lightness of various colors, the color can be divided into light and dark. Saturation, also known as chroma, is a characteristic value that indicates the shade of color on the surface of an object, making the color brighter and darker. Hue, lightness, and saturation form a solid, and using these three to establish a scale, we can measure color numerically. The colors in nature are ever-changing, but the most basic ones are red, yellow, and blue, which are called primary colors. Another color that is mixed with these three primary colors in different proportions is called a complex color, such as red + yellow = orange; blue + yellow = green; orange and green are called complex colors. A complex color composed of three primary colors has its counterpart in the color circle as a complementary color. For example, yellow and blue make green, and red is the complement of green. In the color matching, adding white to dilute the primary color or secondary color, you can get colors with different "saturation"; adding different components of black, you can get various colors with different "lightness". Complementary colors added to complex colors can darken the color, or even become gray or black.
