How to Make a Diamond Painting

Purchase a complete set of diamond painting materials. Diamond painting materials can be purchased online or at well-stocked craft stores. While each brand is slightly different, most kit materials contain a patterned canvas, flat-backed diamonds, a point drill box, a point drill pen, and a piece of glue.

Read oil on canvas. There are many small squares printed on the canvas, just like cross stitch, the squares have different colors and numbers. Each number corresponds to a diamond grain of a color. The numbers will be listed on the table with the corresponding coloured diamonds and pouches printed next to or below the numbers. Usually the form is printed on the side of the canvas.

Some small cells may display letters or symbols; just treat them as numbers.

Secure the unfolded canvas to a flat surface with tape. If the canvas is uneven, wrap the canvas in the opposite direction, and then unfold it. Lay out the canvas on a flat surface and secure the four corners with masking tape.

This handwork is time-consuming, so it's best to stick the canvas to the wood for easy movement.
